Deadline para el env\u00edo de abstracts: <\/strong>15 de marzo de 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The journal Philosophy of Medicine<\/em><\/a> and the Institute for the\nFuture of Knowledge at the University of Johannesburg will host an online\nconference on 12 May 2021 to provide a forum for exploratory philosophical work\non COVID-19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants are invited to\nsubmit papers concerning any philosophical topic relating to Covid-19\u2014for\nexample, but not limited to: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Public\nHealth Policy: To lockdown or not to lockdown? <\/li>
  2. Role\nof expertise in public decision-making <\/li>
  3. Democracy\nand Emergency <\/li>
  4. Values\nin Science <\/li>
  5. Evidence-Based\nPolicy and Public Health Emergencies <\/li>
  6. Epidemiology:\nAims, Methods, Confusions <\/li>
  7. Epistemology\nand Modeling <\/li>
  8. Biomedical\nEthics <\/li>
  9. The\nPrecautionary Principle <\/li>
  10. Allocation\nof Biomedical Research Resources and \u201cWell-Ordered Science\u201d <\/li>
  11. Equity and\nAccess to Healthcare <\/li>
  12. Global\nPerspectives on Covid-19 <\/li>
  13. The\nRole of Philosophy in Public Debate <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The deadline\nfor submissions is March 15th<\/sup>, 2021<\/strong>. Notice of acceptance\ncan be expected within 2-3 weeks. All submissions should include the name of\nthe applicant and the institution with which they are affiliated. Abstracts not\nlonger than 300 words should be sent to bsmart@uj.ac.za<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
