Naci\u00f3 en el seno de una familia maya monoling\u00fce en Buctzotz, Yucat\u00e1n, el 13 de mayo de 1963. Actualmente es profesor en la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elem.mx\/institucion\/datos\/3637\">Escuela de Creaci\u00f3n Literaria en lengua maya del Centro Estatal de Bellas Artes (CEBA)<\/a>. Es autor de ensayos y poemas publicados en algunas revistas, peri\u00f3dicos nacionales y antolog\u00edas. Galardonado en cinco ocasiones por sus propuestas en poes\u00eda y narrativa maya.
