Es Profesor Titular del Departamento de Sociolog\u00eda de la UMU y miembro del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.um.es\/web\/iuie\/\">Instituto Universitario de Investigaci\u00f3n en Envejecimiento<\/a> de dicha instituci\u00f3n. Sus l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n son el envejecimiento, la salud y la discapacidad, el cuerpo y la sexualidad. Ha realizado estancias de investigaci\u00f3n en Surrey University (Reino Unido), Portland State University (Oreg\u00f3n, Estados Unidos) y UCLA (California, Estados Unidos).
