Fourth Meeting – Call for Abstracts

Philosophy, Democracy and Conversation

The Richard Rorty Society invites submissions for its fourth meeting on the theme of Philosophy, Democracy and Conversation or any aspect of his life and work. The meeting will be held December 3-5, 2025, at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Our keynote speakers will be Susana de Castro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil), Susan Dieleman (University of Lethbridge, Canada) and Michael Williams (Johns Hopkins University, USA).

There is no registration fee to attend the conference.

Submission Guidelines:

Send an email to info@richardrortysociety.org with the following information included in a single Word or PDF document:

• a title and 250-word abstract (in English) suitable for anonymous review
• your name, affiliation, and contact information
• Use “RRS 2025 Submission” in the subject line of your email

Extended submission deadline: August 18th, 2025
